  1. Why are you ashamed of eating cooked food? As long as you are vegan, who cares?
Eating 100% is crazy to me. Cooked foods are far more satiating and have higher absorption rates. And unless you are rich enough to eat all organic, it can be dangerous due to sprayed food. Cooking things thoroughly is the most sustainable way to be vegan.
As a cyclist and weight lifter I would have to eat buckets of raw food to feel full, where as one plate of cooked rice, beans, kale, and lentils make me full and energized to workout.

  2. Yum!! Sounds delicious! Lately eating raw I feel it's hard for me to eat enough without feeling stuffed afterward. I've been eating raw for about a year and a half now and I'm just barely starting to feel this way. It's almost like my body rejects eating that much food. I've lost too much weight because of this.. Do you think incorporating more whole, cooked vegan foods into my diet will help me get in enough food without feeling overly stuffed? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks! 🙂

  3. What a nice surprise to find out you're making cooked vegan dishes too! I love this potato salad and the nuts make a great "mayonnaise". Love that you've got a cooked book too. I'm waiting for my new Vitamix to arrive so I can make some great dressings and eat more raw salads. Between you and Dan (the Man) it makes vegan life so easy.
By the way, the dill gives an awesome flavor, even in juices. Stay silly, stay cute; I love watching.

  4. Wow! I am impressed! I am making this right now, just finished making the dressing and its sooooo good! Cant wait to serve this to my family and see the looks on their faces when I tell them there is no mayo in it! ???

  5. Hi! This looks so yummy but I'm FODMAP so I can't have onion or garlic… do you have any suggestions to replace these two ingredients and still keep it yummy??  Thank you so much for making this video!! (:

  6. I am not a vegan or a raw vegan but I really enjoy your food videos, as they have encouraged me to cook and eat more veggies (and get creative in the process). I cant wait to try this recipe!

  7. This looks really good! My grandma makes a really good potato salad that I loved growing up but it has lots of mayo. I love this version with cashew mayo. I would also add raw chopped celery like my grandma. Adds a delicious crunch. Thanks Megan!

  8. Lovely recipe. Haha the blue bowl 😉 you are not the only one that has a favourite 'food photo bowl', most of my facebook recipe page dishes are in the same 'stripey' bowl. Its the right size and looks good, that's all you need for showing off the yummiest recipes right 🙂

  9. Looks awesome!  I'm a huge fan of potato salad!  My mom's side of the family are Finnish and Swedish and my grandmother used to always make the best Finnish potato salad (which was always vegan even though they weren't vegan) and my step-mom always made a traditional potato salad; before going vegan it was hard for me to choose between the two which was my favorite!  I've adjusted my step-moms to be vegan but I'm always looking for other options.  🙂  Yours looks like a must try!
March 21st is a great day!  That's my husbands bday as well; look forward to your book coming out! 🙂

  10. The hipocracy is real. Are you guys kicking yourselves out of the Woodstock Fruit Festival? Seems like the only logical and right thing to do. Cooked Food Bullies now cooking food and putting out a cooked food vegan cook book… come on.

  11. I am so glad you guys are doing some steamed or cooked recipes, not everyone wants to be 100% raw. At least not on the East Coast. hehe
I do better in the Spring and Summer, but even then O_O
Besides, I honestly don't think steaming or cooking certain vegetables it the end of the world as some casters seem to think. Let's face it, you're still eating better then 85%, maybe more,  of America.
