  1. Loved this recipe. Was initially surprised to see the dal being used in raw form, but soaking it in advance must be the trick to making it more digestible. Also like your cooking utensils. Especially the rustic looking ones. Where did you get that spice box? I'd like to order it , if it can be found online.

  2. Anushruti, I like your dishes but I feel you overdo a lot of Karnataka dishes and make it seem more exotic than they actually are.
    Please reduce on these Karnataka dishes and do other cuisines too.
    Don't get me wrong please.

I' m always on your website browsing those recipes your stories reminds so much of my childhood days with my grandma& pa and those village stories ,i came to know u by your lentils and barley, vegetable soup I might have prepared that zillion times can't get enough of it ,your mom's dosa recipe amazing and u said it is a cross between davengere benne dosa ,immediately I found that recipe and prepared many times ,I love all your recipes.

I am a reader of ur blog from years and successfully recreated many many recipes… now religiously watch ur videos as well, but today as u did… I really remembered back home and authentic Mysore food… I need to make a trip to India soon… really u cook just the same way like our moms or grandma do..no gimmicks..no morden tech changes..no shortcuts….. neenu nanage thumba thumba ishta 🙂
