There is a world of difference in cooking for a contest and cooking for a meal. Contest chili is made to hyper-stimulate the judges' taste buds and thus stand out from the crowd. For an actual meal dish you need a much less salty, much less spicy recipe. A large bowl of this chili would require the drinking of a gallon of water to flush out the salt.
Beef, beans, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, a small amount of cumin, chili powder and a dash of salt and pepper is meal chili. You can grow most of the ingredients in your garden. Also, fresh ingredients add taste that you won't get with packaged powders.

Lord have mercy. I almost licked my monitor.
YUCK. Really. There's nothing but spice and meat? A fancy Hamburger? With way to much sauce. NOT CHILI….
Throw some diced tomato skin in and add Worcestershire sauce to the meat. Even more beautiful!
Man I bet it’s awesome and I’d love to give it a shot but I wouldn’t be able to locate 75% of the spice where I live. Variety is what it is. Sucks.
Hot food served in plastic
Does thst not release dodgy cancer causing chemicals
Totally burned that table cloth lol
No beans? Wtf kind of chili has no beans?
I am sure all of the old time chuck wagons had these ingredients available!!! Fail!
So half of the recipe is some suspicious powder ? Use some real garlic, chilli and onions ffs
Tnx for sharing and making me hungry. The only thing I will add in this is some nice beans.
Wait what’s the butter looking when you didn’t have the bacon grease. Awesome chili it looks good! ???
I like lots of onion, so I puree a large onion and include it because no one can see it
yum
Throw a couple of fried eggs over the top of a bowl of that and I'd be joyously lighting up the room all night.
No beans, No green peppers, No onion….WTF
https://mildbillsspices.com/products/rt-original-chili-powder This may be the RT chili powder
Spice with a touch of meat.. no thank you…
That is actually disgusting. Not a single honest ingredient. Only a ton of powders and processed shit.
lools like Bunker Hill. So much crap in the chili you will never taste the meat.
O.m.g. N. C I will…uahhhhghhhh
Where are the beans? Wtf?
did you say chicken granules?
Shocked they let him use ground beef. That's as big a no no as beans.
Chili without beans is like.. A hotdog without the bun.

What does he mean you're not allowed to use onion chunks? What kind of a chili competition would ban ingredients.
