  1. Minute 2:51 I would change the jam for a more nutritious food as for example peanut butter the one is label peanut and salt. (No more ingredients). Or maybe buy some sheets of some seaweed. Also, Minute 2:07 dented can! Instead of can food, cook beans like; lentils, garbanzos u other to cook with your rice or any small grain to improve the protein quality. Add parsley or cilantro, something green. One cup of legumes will give you tree cups once it is cook, same is with rice. Better avoid can foods too much sodium and preservatives they are harmful on the long run they make you sick, avoid buying cans especially if they are dented (usually those are the one marked down) they could contain the bacteria called Clostridium botulinum. It is rare, but its toxin can kill you. I do like the rest of the video!

  2. Please stop saying "more cheaper". Thanks; cheap, cheaper and much cheaper ok . Arrgh stop saying "more less" too! Cheers. You get what you pay for. There is cheap and expensive food and quality is usually more expensive than poor quality. Confucius say "Many things can be similar but they are not the one!" Example Lady and Ladyboy! 🙂

  3. Very good videos! I still prefer organics foods and fresh vegetables, so I grow my own organics vegetables and herbs in pots(if you have good organics land in your compound, then grow them in the ground) which are healthier and cheap too!

  4. WAAAAAA! WAAAAAAA OOOOOO NOOOO SHE GOT CAGED EGGS!!! GROW THE F*CK UP. THE DAMAGE IS DONE YOU SHOULD EAT THE CAGED EGGS. IT WOULD BE A WAST. YA IT SUCKS. BUT THERE KILLING THEM ANYWAY. HUMANS FIRST AND I HAVE TO SURVIVE. SHE IS A GOOD PERSON. TRYING TO DO A GOOD THING. NICE VIDEO.

  5. imo it's not true about the branded and own brand food items costing less anymore, these days they cost the same or equally priced or even more than the branded ones epically in sainsburys that place is wallet rape each time i go in there.

i want to eat more fresh fish but it's expensive to get the decent stuff, all i can afford is battered fish which is not healthy at all, i want to eat more chicken but i don't have the time to cook from scratch at all, all i can afford is sausages and beefburgers to stretch me for the week and that is not helping, i've put back on 2 stone which i worked so hard to loose and i get so depressed about it.

maybe some stir fry recipes would be more suited for me? some inexpensive ones that will last me a week would be good, any form of meat are expensive so that is a factor also.

  6. When I go food shopping I always get whatever fruit and veggies are in sale. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but there isn't a fruit or vegetable that I don't like so this method works for me. It is a really good way to save money, have variety and even try new things. Great tip!

  7. You can get all your protein from veggies. You do not need meat that is full of fat and hormones. We do not need as much protein as you think. In fact we overeat protein when we eat meat. Stick to the veggies.

  8. Your advice is very good regarding the processed and organic foods. Forget about organic as it's not necessary, but ditching the processed crap is essential. Fruits, veggies, eggs, nuts, whole grains, all the really good stuff that our bodies really like. And remember, small batch craft beer typically contains all natural ingredients, but be careful. The calorie hit can be high if overdone.

  9. 20 tips from Joanna Soh – Timestamps and Too long did not watch version.

1 – 0:50 Forget about Brands! Buy Generic/Store brands – it's all the same. Saves money.
2 – 1:41 Buy sale items (hur dur). Go late at night, almost closed, will find most of these items at that time apparently.
    3 – 2:27 Buy in bulk
    4 – 3:14 Buy Frozen Vegetables
5 – 4:00 Buy more vegetables and put more in meals, cheaper than meat and such!
6 – 4:28 Find cheap protein, like eggs, chicken fillets, fish, etc.
7 – 5:17 Buy whole foods, usually cheaper and healthier.
    8 – 6:02 Don't worry about organic if you're on a budget.
9 – 7:24 Buy Seasonal fruits and vegetables
10 – 7:51 Shop local markets, sometimes much cheaper
11 – 8:27 Keep it simple and 'eat like the locals'. Local foods are generally cheaper than imported. IE: Milk and cheese are pretty cheap in west, toffuu is cheap in asia.
12 – 9:13 Avoid impulse buying, buy things that are needed, avoid simply wants. Make a list, go in, get your stuff, get out.
13 – 9:46 Cook in bulk. Saves money and time. Stick in fridge and freezer.
14 – 10:15 Learn to store food properly. IE: Freezing and such.
15 – 11:01 Keep meals simple. Complicated meals take too long, costs too much, stressful, etc.
16 – 11:46 Cut junk food out completely/as much as possible. Healthier and cheaper if can be replaced with healthier alternatives.
17 – 12:24 Gift cards, coupons, pointscards, etc.
18 – 12:55 Don't buy water, ie bottles of water.
19 – 13:12 Quantity doesn't always equal quality. Certain foods fill you up longer than others, ie: (some kind of bread vs white bread, couldn't understand her.)
20 – 14:05 Mix 'unhealthy' with 'healthy' if healthy is more expensive. ie: Brown rice with white rice in the same dish.

  10. If you like buying organic food and your opinion is that it is better then you should. Just know that it is not more nutritious; the taste is 100% objective; depending on where you get your organic food from it may not be sustainable and may uses chemicals you don't normally think of as organic; you are also paying about 30% more for no reason other then the fact they put an organic sticker on it.

  11. I’ll be old enough to get a job next year and I honestly can’t wait. I’ve been wanting to eat healthy for a while but I can’t afford it and obviously I still live at home so I just have to deal with what my mom buys. Every time I try to talk to her about getting/eating healthier she just laughs and shuts me down.

  12. Hey, crazy animal rights people, how bout you buy us caged free eggs? Oh no? It's too expensive? Love how they talk about animals life's thinking they're not selfish yet they scream in your face about being poor and buying caged eggs. Fuck off and do something about it instead of scolding these innocent poor people trying to be healthy.

  13. Everyone is complaining about her buying caged chicken eggs and "those poor chickens", but no one bats an eyelash about, you know, the dead frozen chicken in a bag. Irony at it's best.

  14. Growing up poor we bought the cheap unhealthy shit. Now I'm a bit fat and trying to lose weight. I'm not willing to spend $50 a day for a meal. That's too much. I'm on a budget and looking for something that will help me shed pounds not money. I hope this works.

  15. For those that live out in the country like myself there are lots of people who raise their own chickens for eggs that will have more than enough and gladly share, and during the times they dont and they want to sell them theyre not that expensive. At least not where I live anyway.
