Ingredients
.....1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs .....3/4 cup sugar .....1/2 cup chopped walnuts .....1/4 cup butter, softened .....1 cup evaporated milk .....3 egg whites, at room temperature .....1/8 teaspoon salt .....3 tablespoons instant chocolate drink powder .....1 teaspoon instant coffee |
PreparationCombine crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and walnuts; add butter, mixing well. Sprinkle 2 cups crumb mixture in waxed paper lined 9 inch square pan; press down well. Freeze. Chill evaporated milk in refrigerator tray until soft ice crystals form around edges. Beat egg whites and salt until frothy; beat in remaining sugar gradually. Whip chilled milk in chilled bowl until stiff peaks form; add chocolate drink powder and coffee. Fold into meringue. Spread over crumb mixture lightly; sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Freeze overnight. Cut into squares. |
