Cheesecake Bars |

Ingredients
.....5 tablespoons butter.....1/2 cup brown sugar .....1 cup flour .....1/2 cup chopped nuts .....1/2 cup sugar .....1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese .....1 egg .....2 tablespoons milk .....1 tablespoon lemon juice .....1/4 teaspoon vanilla |
PreparationPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8 inch square pan with non stick cooking spray.Cream butter and brown sugar together. Add nuts and flour and mix thoroughly. Set aside 1 cup of this mixture for topping. Press remainder in pan. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Blend sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Add egg, milk, lemon juice, and vanilla. Beat well. Spread over baked crust. Sprinkle with 1 cup of topping. Return to oven and bake for an additional 25 minutes. Cool. Chill in refrigerator at least 2 hours. Cut into squares. Yield: 1 8 inch pan - 15 to 30 squares or 9 x 13 inch pan - 30 to 48 squares |
