Ingredients
.....1 cup shortening .....1 cup sugar .....4 eggs .....1 cup molasses .....1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream .....4 cups all purpose flour .....2 teaspoons soda .....1 teaspoon baking powder .....2 teaspoons ground ginger .....1/4 teaspoon ground allspice .....1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon .....1/2 cup raisins .....1/2 cup chopped pecans |
PreparationCream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in molasses and sour cream. Combine remaining ingredients, stirring well; add to batter, and stir just until moistened. Spoon into greased muffin pans, filling one half full. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Yield: 3 dozen |
