Ingredients
.....4 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate .....1 cup vegetable oil .....2 cups sugar .....4 eggs .....1 teaspoon vanilla extract .....1 cup all purpose flour .....1/4 teaspoon salt .....1 cup chopped walnuts Frosting: .....2 tablespoons butter .....2 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate .....2 1/2 cups powdered sugar .....1/4 cup milk .....1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
PreparationIn a large microwave safe bowl, heat chocolate until melted; cool for 10 minutes. Add oil and sugar; mix well. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Add flour and salt; mix well. Stir in the nuts. Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs (do not overbake). Cool on a wire rack.For frosting, melt butter and chocolate; stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate mixture, sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth. Frost brownies. Yield: 2 1/2 dozen |
