Topped Bread Pudding |

Ingredients
.....2 eggs, beaten .....1/3 cup sugar .....1/4 teaspoon salt .....2 cups milk .....1/2 teaspoon vanilla .....3 slices stale bread, cut in cubes .....1/3 cup raisins .....1/3 cup packed brown sugar .....1 tablespoon soft butter .....1 tablespoon cream .....1/3 cup chopped nuts |
PreparationBeat eggs with sugar and salt; add milk and vanilla. Stir in bread cubes and raisins. Place in 8 inch square pan. Place pan in container of water. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until firm. Combine brown sugar, butter, cream and uts; spread over pudding. Bake until topping is bubbly. Serve warm. |
